A chamoniard's day

A day in the heart of the Chamonix Valley skiing the legendary off-piste descents of the resort. Discover the Brevent- Flegère Ski area.

Program details
We will leave Argentière direction Chamonix to take the cable car of Planpraz and arrive at 2000 m. Breathtaking views! We will discover the offpiste terrain , improve the technique and get some advice... Then we will cross over to Flégère to discover its skiing area. These two mythical resorts will have no more secrets for you at the end of the day.
This trip is subject to the weather forecast. If the conditions are bad the itinerary will be modified.

Day time
About 6h

  • Meeting point 09:45h at ESF Lognan. 
  • Safety is a priority; we will make a point before departure. Discuss the weather and snow conditions; prepare the itinerary, ARVA test. 
  • We will leave at 10:00h direction Chamonix to take the Planpraz cable car 2000 m. 
  • Warm up skiing the Combe des Vioz ski run. 
  • We will take the Col Cornu chairlift that leads us to 2350 m. Different accessible off-piste areas to choose from. 
  • We will take the Brévent cable car to reach 2525 m with 360° breathtaking views and ski some steep off-piste mountain faces. 
  • A well-deserved brake in Johanna and Dam’s à Altitude 2000 m. 
  • After the break we will move towards La Flégère skiing area to discover its off-piste possibilities. A little less steep than Brévent, we will enjoy some more descents before ending the day with some DVA training.
  • Transceiver, probe and shovel
To bring
  • All Mountain skis, helmet.
  • Backpack, water.
