A day of off-piste skiing on the steep slope between the Arolette summit and the Vormaine couloir. A feeling of the great outdoors, with 360° views of the Mont Blanc massif, the Valais and the Emosson dam.

Standard programme

day
7 hours
  • Meet at 9:00 am at the Esf Le Tour.
  • Safety is an absolute priority, so we'll do a quick check-up before the start to prepare your route, snow conditions, weather and Arva test.
  • Warm-up to reach the Vallorcine side of the slopes. Les Esserts chairlift. At the top, 20-minute walk to Téte de Balme.
  • After a break with a 360° view, we'll explore the various couloirs on the north face of l'Arolette, from the easiest to slopes of up to 45°.
  • Return to the Essert lift via the Catognes mountain pastures and the forest of the Jeurs commune (Switzerland).
  • Lunch at l'Arret Bougnette, a typical restaurant in Vallorcine station, or Casse Croute (to be decided in advance).
  • Afternoon, couloir de la Vormaine, a magnificent cirque offering south, west and north-facing slopes. Steep slopes in a wild setting. Only a short approach walk. Approx. 15 mins.
