Off-piste excursion and tasting

Standard programme

You leave Argentière heading for the Mont Blanc tunnel to reach our Italian neighbours. Departure from the Dolonne cable car (Courmayeur 1224 m). There's a change of ambiance, a melodious language, a vast ski area and off-piste runs through forests, valleys and alpine pastures. Maison vieille, Chécrouit, Youla - names that will echo in your mind and create Italian memories.

Weather conditions do not affect the outings unless the ski area is closed (wind...). If the conditions are bad, the day will be adapted. We will meet the day before to review the situation.
day
8 hours
  • Meet at 8:30am at the ESF in Lognan.
  • As safety is an absolute priority, we will review your equipment, the snow conditions and the weather, then hand over your safety kit.
  • We leave at 9am for Courmayeur (35 min by car) to take the Dolonne cable car, which arrives at 1704 m.
  • Then the Checrouit gondola (2256 m), a short descent down the piste to the Plan Gabba chairlift, where we'll ski off-piste for the first time to warm up.
  • We then take the Youla cable car up to 2624m for the Youla off-piste run. The slopes are gentle and wide, allowing you to make your own tracks.
  • Finally, we'll reach the resort's highest point, the Cresta d'Arp, at 2755 m, with its breathtaking views and off-piste route that will take us to the bottom of the resort, with a total of 1500 m of vertical drop. A descent through valleys and glades where the snow is often fresh and light.
  • At the end of this beautiful descent, you've earned yourself a break! Off we go to Giacomo's to finish off our discovery of the area. We'll be sampling the typical dishes served by Maison Vieille in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. It's a great way to discover Italian heritage, and don't forget to keep your energy up for the famous Tiramisù!
  • Back to the ESF by 4:30pm.

An exotic, gourmet trip full of good humour
"I love this ski area! The off-piste runs are accessible and wide enough to give you a feeling of freedom, the ascent to Arp in a unique cable car, the breathtaking views from the summit and the descent from the summit to the bottom of the resort allow you to discover different landscapes. And the icing on the cake... A break at Giacomo's! In short, the perfect day for me.
